My daughter attended this school this year during her senior year. After speaking with several other mother's during testing I am beyond disgusted and surprised they are allow to continue providing this online course. Classes were not assigned until late October. There were so many problems with the system kids would get kicked out and or could not log on to do their work even into November. My daughter was given Science which she had already earned the credit for and needed French. This was not corrected until January. I have been called "babe" by BOE staff I have attempted to speak to. I left messages for the Superintend months ago and did not receive return calls, after another staff member was racist and referred to people on food stamps (non of which I brought up) It was ridiculous! My daughter, a senior. Now will not be able to attend a four year college which she was accepted to due to this school. Who will not take responsibility for their lack of preparedness in handling this school year. I was told by a counselor to forge my daughters home school transcript (which they deny) and I was told the EOCT test which was given on May 5 & 6 will not be graded in time for graduation so the children will pass just because they showed up. "All they really needed to do was sign their name and they passed" are the words from one woman at the BOE. I would definitely not recommend using the Montgomery Academy online school. We used it only because K-12 was full and I thought I would give my daughter a better education using this method. I was very wrong. And it seems many other mothers felt the same as we spoke last week.
